Very nice photos! Thanks for sharing. I was somewhat amused to see that the article stated he used a 'box' camera. He was probably using an 11x14 or 20x24 or thereabouts wet plate camera. He would have had to have coated each plate of glass just before taking his photo, and then processed it in his wagon. Photos would then have been contact printed. I don't recall now if they used a type of paper we now use (well at least those of us who still like to wet print) or if they would only have had printing out paper.

Maybe Bob Hubbard or someone else can recall what was used then?
