I’m pretty certain you have to be truly repentant, not just, “ Oh dammit you caught me and I’m really, really, really sorry. I won’t adulter/have murderous intent /thieve again, I promise, really I’m being truthful.” or “I adultered and I’m sorry (but I did still slightly like that position just after that quite good one) and it’s clear I’m still virile” <inwardly beats chest>

I think it’s really hard to be truly repentant.

The only heresy on here is criticising someone’s combat sport directly.

That indicates that you allow others to dictate your actions and responses. Never subject yourself to the whims of others, that includes your decision making processes.
