Everybody's kids had a box of Lego around somewhere.

Legos... also known by parents as "caltrops for kid's rooms" or "landmines for bedtime"!

Actually, the kits today are mindboggling. But I miss the plain box of pieces, and building whatever you could think of...

the 'creator' sets are still out there, but not on the top shelf anymore.

LEGO are one of the very few 'toys' where more really does equal better.

one can simply not have too many legos.

I only had the creator sets, I never had any of the kits. I'm tempted to buy one of those kits but it almost seems too...easy?

LOL, I remember when the special technical sets first came out, the mechanical ones.....nothing easy about putting a big car or truck together!

They are pretty easy to put together...but try to build house with one....

My wife and I occasionally put a kit together. It always amazes me the different ways they put together the kits.

I passed mine down to my first son, I don't know quite what to do about the second son. We are sort of hoping we can dig up my wife's lego box from her childhood.

Went to LegoLand last year. They had some amazing things built out of Legos.

We saw an exhibit in Manhattan Kansas from an artist that his medium were legos. Unfortunately I can't remember his name, but some of the stuff was just awe inspiring. Lots of his stuff involved 3d optical illusions.

And to think there was only a handful of shapes when I started playing with those things. Limited only by ones imagination. Best toy ever..well, yea, until ya stepped on one. lol.
