Mark your calendars! Kenpo will be back at the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, OH. Registration is open now! Last year the top three finishers in each divisions were awarded medals and had their names published in several prominent places. Make your travel plans early, as hotels in the area usually fill up fast. More information will be provided as it becomes available. Dr. Chap'el will also be giving a seminar on Friday as part of the festival.

Although the details have not been fully worked out, a portion of the proceeds will go to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. So, not only can you come out and have a good time but also contribute to a very worthwhile cause.

Every dollar given buys $8 worth of food. And in this time of the year and in the economic conditions, it can be a real life saver.

Here is a new link: http://arnoldsportsfestival.com/martial-arts/ The webmaster has not posted the updated rules, which will be essentially the old IKC rules. In addition, there is a Kenpo only SD divison that has been added but not yet reflected on the website.

Has Kenpo ever been at the festival before? I wouldn't know since I have never been.

Dr. Chap'el will be presented a seminar as part of the Arnold Sport Festival page and can be found here: http://www.arnoldmartialarts.com/workshops/ron-chapel/

For those interested in seeing Sub Level Three Kenpo and the dictionary techniques, this is your chance. You can register for the Arnold Seminar by going to the above link. If you attend the Friday night seminar with Doc, you will be eligible to attend a seminar with him on Sunday too. Those details will be posted as they are finalized.

If you plan to attend both seminars, you can also plan attend the tournament on Saturday, which will include a Kenpo division. You can also stay at the hotel where all the martial artist will be staying. It makes for a fun time hanging out in the lobby or eating the buffet breakfast. Hotel information can be found here: http://www.arnoldmartialarts.com/hotels/

If you have never been it's a great time. I've only been to one of Dr. Chapel's seminars a few years ago, but it was great. I helped judge last year, I hope we see many more Kenpoist join us in Columbus.
