Some of that is common sense, but some of it I remain skeptical of (#3 and #11 particularly). I'm not sure what studies they're referring to (they only say "a study" or "many studies", no specifics). They also say nothing of limits (am I really going to believe that I can eat as much saturated fat or sodium as I want with no problem?).

The article reads like an advertisement for Atkins-style diets to me.

I believe that the blue numbers you see scattered about the pages are links to the studies in question so that people can follow up and draw their own conclusions. Given that you can kill yourself by drinking too much water I concur that it is best to use a healthy dose of common sense before embarking on a diet that consists only of lard and suet :D. The clue is possibly hidden in the term "too much" and the trick is finding where that line is (as an individual is best but for the mythical 'normal' person as a rough guideline at least) :nods:.
