You may not be able to get out of a maze this way. Close your eyes and keep your right hand to touch the wall, you will guarantee to be able to get out of a maze.

You don't need the wall. As long as you always make a right turn (or a left turn), you will get out a maze. This is the AI solution. You either use "breadth first search", or use "depth first search". You just can't mix together.
