Not my post but as a huge Alain Delon fan I had to ask. Post I found.

As pointed out in a cinema sub its easy to find pics of him Boxing.

So I am rather curious how skilled he'd be in French Kickboxing at his young days esp since French boxing gyms often also had Savate trainers of Self Defense and Military Instructors who Taught specific techniques.

Watching many of his movies lately I recognized various Savate techniques such as the chasse kick in Le Samourai's only unarmed front scenes.

So I am curious of what level he reached in Boxe Francaise? He continued being part of regular Boxing so much that he even did a lot of behind the scenes stuff like patronage some fighters, sports betting, and promotions in his 30s.

So did Alain Delon ever trained a few glove levels into advanced levels? Did he even actually practise Savate as the quoted paragraph assumes?

I've just done a quick search in French, seems like he was indeed a big boxing enthusiast, organised fights and even built a ring on his property but there's nothing about him competing at any significant level.
