going for orange belt

I just found we'll be tested for orange belts in a couple of weeks. What were your requirements to get it?

Geez, didn't you just test for Yellow a couple of months ago? What did you have to learn to test so quick and/or, how much are you attending class?

12 orange belt techniques.
spot check the yellow tech.
short form 1 (right & left sides)
Long form 1
Kicking set 1
review blocking set 1
all basics (yellow & orange)

I don't know what long and short forms are unless my teacher uses different names. We have to know 6 and 7 combination, 1st side club, one pinion overhead and crane and review the yellow belt techniques.

Rachel, this is because your in a slightly different style kenpo than the rest of us do. Your requirements will be different plus you'll get many different answers from the rest of the people here as well. It all depends upon the instructor.

12 techs for a belt, that would give you material to 10th Black wouldn't it?
