A teenage girl lured her ex-boyfriend to a school playground where her new girlfriend and another young woman assaulted him, an attack that left him stabbed in the back, police said.
The Hazlet man, who suffered a single stab wound, was treated at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel and released.

Two young women and the 17-year-old Hazlet girl were taken into custody Tuesday night, police said.

The 17-year-old apparently felt she was being harassed by her ex-boyfriend, who had indicated he wanted to try to resume the relationship, authorities said.

Around 9:25 p.m. Tuesday, the girl drove the victim to Cove Road School, where her girlfriend, Erika Digaicco, 18, of Seabreeze Way, Keansburg and another woman, Roxana Owen, 19, of Holmdel Road, Hazlet, were waiting, police said.

When the victim got out of the car, the two young women confronted him, then began to hit him, said Sgt. Charles McBride.

He began to defend himself, and that's when one of the women stabbed him, the sergeant said, adding that both Digaicco and Owen were armed with knives.
