In dojo that use camo belts is it one rank? with maybe stripes? or what?

ahhhh...I hadn't thought of looking at it that way??? But, I have noticed that there are many variations in camo: jungle, tiger stripe, desert, urban, red, blue, maroon, black white, etc. Probably enought to come up with 10 different ranks. Now that I think about it it has lots of creative possibilities. Better than I originally thought. GREAT

I think these are more for just aesthetics, not actual ranks lol

I think it depends on the school. Looking at shops, some have camo belt with stripe.

It gets even worse. There's such a thing as a camouflage gi. I try not to go in for uniform snobbery but...seriously...dude...

ahhh.....

If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have any taste.

It's hard to underestimate Americans' lack of taste.

Hey, I wouldn't blame America for this. After all, they gave us bluegrass and bourbon.

I've worn a pink belt before for breast cancer month. I'd wear just about anything for a cause I believe in or that matters to me (breast cancer, for example, hits VERY close to home).

For everyday wear, though? I'll wear my school gi and my rank if I train at my home school, a non-branded gi and my rank if I train elsewhere and an appropriate belt if for some reason I'm invited to give a class somewhere again (for example, I'd wear my Can-Ryu belt if I'm teaching Can-Ryu techniques).

Camo anything seems... Pointless. I'm not offended at it, I'm just baffled.

If my choice was to follow original tradition and wear skivvies to train or a camo GI, I would weat camo GI.

and then there is BJJ

It depends on the dojo, when it comes to belts, every dojo that uses them has their own colors and has their own order that the colors go in. So for a dojo that uses camo belts, exactly what it means in regards to what rank it is or how many ranks it consists of or if there's stripes and what the stripes mean, depends on the particular dojo.
