I just found this great clip. Image that you tie ropes between your

- right wrist and right ankle,
- left wrist and left ankle.

When you throw a

- right punch, you lift your right foot. When you land your right punch, you land your right foot.
- left punch, you lift your left foot. When you land your left punch, you land your left foot.

In other words, during "punching", your

- right hand coordinate with your right foot, right elbow coordinate with your right knee, right shoulder coordinate with your right hip,
- left hand coordinate with your left foot, left elbow coordinate with your left knee, left shoulder coordinate with your left hip.

It's so easy to understand and so easy to train. What's your opinion on this?

Well you really didn't ask a question or present a topic that a lot of people would want to discuss because six harmonies 六合 is just how most people, styles... punch or produce power I guess most people do it even if they don't know the six harmonies. Most people would be like "oh i do that".

I expect people may ask the following questions.

If your hand has to coordinate with your foot, when you throw 3 punches within 1 second, will you raise your foot, put down your foot 6 times?

Are "1 step 1 punch" and "1 step 3 punches" complete different training?

I've never seen that before, looks kind of cool. I can see where it might help folks with footwork. I'll have to play with that.

I also liked the kid doing the vid.

6 Harmonies in Xingyiquan

The Six Harmonies is divided into two sections: San Nei He or Three Internal Harmonies, and San Wai He or Three External Harmonies
Listed below is the Six Harmonies

San Nie He - Three Internal Harmonies

Xin (Heart/Spirit) leads the Yi (Intent/Mind)
Yi (Intent/Mind) leads the Qi (Energy)
Qi (Energy) leads the Li (Strength)

Chinese saying: Xin Yi Qi Li
Don't let the translation of Xin as heart of spirit fool you, it has nothing to do with spirituality

San Wai He - Three External Harmonies

The Shoulders and Hips harmonize
The Elbows and Knees harmonize
The Hands and Feet harmonize

Interesting vid indeed. Lifting the right foot is nothing new, but the left step was interesting to watch. Will have to watch some more of his vids.
