There is nothing worse than waking up Saturday morning and remembering that you are out of coffee.

Oh, man. When I read that, my eyes flicked to my coffee cup, just to make sure nothing had happened to it.

Sincere condolences.

Some do. Not like in the old days. Apple is still the tool of choice for many, but any more, it's a matter of preference and not one that is grounded in performance.

It's been kind of fun to see the shift from Apple to PC, particularly among younger designers. I think (although this is speculation) that the shift is less about bucking tradition and more because the younger designers also tend to be gamers, and the Mac is crap for gaming. The engine that makes a PC great for gaming also makes it a workhorse, particularly for video and audio editing.

Of course, some video editors still use Final Cut Pro, but Adobe Premier and AfterEffects have cut into that stranglehold significantly.
Yeah. Back in the day when I did graphic design, a Mac was my tool of preference. It actually worked better. Somewhere along the line I started using Windows for it, because the Windows PC became capable and it was the tool I needed for all my other work. Now, there's not really a reason to use Mac for graphic design that I know of, except that the shop always has, so has investment in the technology and it's easier.

@Buka , your weekly food porn.

Tonight's dinner:

- Roasted Cornish game hen stuffed with rice, portobello mushrooms, cranberries, organic multicolored carrots, and Italian sweet onions. Seasoned with red wine, coarse sea salt, and white truffle-infused olive oil.
- Potato slices and asparagus stalks seasoned with lemon pepper, olive oil, and red wine and baked.

okay. Quick update. Coffee had been roasted. I have a pound ready to go. Bought a half pound of peets to get me through the next few days .

And after 24 years of marriage I finally got my wife to try a fresh oyster . She loved it .

Bah... Who needs coffee when all you need is a hot towel to the face and some stretches. Breakfast solves everything. Problem solved!

Beware the cook tease.

You have a hot towel to the face and stretches for breakfast? That sounds a little weird. :D
