I heard that Sydney Wing Chun instructor Rick Spain has written a book on the system, is this true? Has anyone read it or is it not released yet? Thanks
I have not read the book , but I met Mr Spain many years ago at a martial arts exhibition .
Our school was there doing a Wing Chun demo and so was his.
He was demonstrating chi sau with high roundhouse kicks to the head which was a bit bizarre , but anyway after our demo where we did chi sau and a bit of trapping he came up and said hello and shook hands with us all.
He was a very nice man , it's just that I think his particular interpretation of Wing Chun violates certain important principles and it was not really my cup of tea.
I read a magazine article about Mr Spain not too long ago. He trains in Kyokushin Karate aswell as Wing Chun. His website is http://www.wingchunway.com/ if your interested.
