The windmills at Ka Lae remind me of the Moai on Easter Island. I'm reading about the UN's global warming meeting in South Africa and I'm hoping that this metaphor doesn't become reality. Anyway, good thread, Bill. I've always considered myself to be an environmentalist, and I think that movement has been captured by ideologues.
