OK you lost me there.

This is the Taijitu

Tai Chi Chuan is the Wade Giles spelling of 太極拳 and Taijiquan is the pinyin of 太極拳.

Tai Chi aka Taiji is also a theory of Taoism not to be confused with Taijiquan

And the origin of Taijiquan is at best foggy but I tend to beleive the Chen family story is a bit closer to the truth than what came from thier student Yang Luchan which included, the hard to pin down historically, Zhang Sanfeng .

Basically Chen Wangting took whatever style the Chen family was doing (Chen style quan) and combined it with Yin and Yang Theory (which is Taiji theory), Qi Jiguang’s Quan Jing San Shi Er Si (32 form boxing) and Huang Ting Jing’a Dao Yin (guiding method) and then codified Tui shou and two person sticking method and then Chen style Taijiquan was born.

Also there are two basic types the jain. One longer and heavy known as the Wu Jian or "Martial Sword". The other is lighter and called a Wen Jian or "Scholar's Sword"

The Wu Jain is sometimes referred to as the gim and the Wen Jain is not.
