This is the most honest and intelligent profile that I have read. No athlete/coach speak just a young man revealing his struggle and his direction. Very Impressive!!! You don't see this much in a young man of this age!

Well actually you do, in the many young sports people trying to make their Olympic teams in all sports, in the Armed Services and a great many other places. Young people are often denigrated but if you look around you will see many doing great work and showing great attitude in many walks of life.

Yes, he really spoke what seems to be the truth. No PC type answers or any what sounds good. Just off the cuff and to the point. Very honest.

That was a good interview on his behalf. However, the interviewer kept asking the same question about the future when he pretty much answered it the first time.

This is a good counter to the athlete bashing that sometimes comes around. For every athlete who makes negative news, I think there are more who are humble, well-grounded, positive examples--people we never hear or read about.
