Yes, if you train in Taekwondo, you are a Taekwondoin. If in Hapkido, you are a Hapkidoin. Sort of a "when in Rome" thing.

If you're speaking Korean it's Taekwondoin. But most people I know in person use Tae Kwon Doist. Frankly, so long as you get the idea across, I doubt it matters.

I think it's whatever floats your boat. I've heard us called any of the above... Well, except for bung holes/ bung holists. Someone may have been called that too, somewhere a long the way, though .

Valid point! As a non-practitioner, I'm still a great fan of your art. It's a pity you poor TKD practitioners have to defend the viability of your fine art in the face of its awful "modernisation". TKD when worked by someone who knows the true undiluted form is one helluva strong, fast and frightening art!

Anyway, I've never been lucky enough to study TKD but had cause to think on this question myself recently. I ran searches on google for results for each of the suffixes. Hey, I'm no statistician so this is more of an answer by concensus and just for laughs. And results were in all languages so I noticed a lot from the bottom two were not in english. So what does that prove in the end? Nuthin. AT. ALL. But fwiw:
