Since this morning I am sitting around, near the phone, waiting for grandma to be released from the hospital.

Easy enough, not regarding that it's 3PM by now.

Back story:
Grandma (the husband's, not mine) is a hypochondriac and of a specific character
My mother-in-law (her DIL) hates her. OK, they got a 50 year history together, but still
Generally they keep saying 'she does not need to go to the doctor' well, this time the cardiologist insisted on a heart cath, Grandma got a stint...some egg to go around to use as facial right there.

One aunt lives with grandma 9hates her though) but works out of town.
my inlaws live literally 5 minutes from grandma....

Guess who is her chauffeur....

So, My FIL has Grandma's key, I live across town from them...

'Why don't you come over and get the keys, or I meet you somewhere...'

(oh, did I mention MIL is a good christian lady, running all over town at teh drop of a hat, for her church people, but rather would see Grandma choke...)

:lfao:

it's insane...no wonder Ray Romano made it big with his family comedy....it's so freakin true....

oh yes, we make Planters look silly. :)

(and 'Lord give me grapes, I like wine better than Lemonade' is my daily prayer! :D)

Waiting for Grandma to call, if they let her go tonight or keep her til tomorrow, good to know that she doesn't need to go to the doc, right! :lfao:

Wine, you need more wine! :)
When you're done with Ken's bottle I've got another one here for ya.

My life is just as fubared as yours ... which is just as fubared as everyone else's.
Everyone has problems that is for sure. Big or small it's all the same. And as a wise man once said...
"Don't sweat the little stuff and it's all little stuff."

or

Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things. :uhyeah:

LOL, I need to keep that in mind when I need a new signature line! :D

Moment like that I am reminded of this little pearl of wisdom:

The only normal people are those you don't know very well.....

Still waiting.....
(and sadly that means the wine has to wait, too )

I finally managed to get Grandma home.

After waiting 5 hours....for what? I still have no idea.

And I am still trying to understand the logic of people from Grandma's side of town offering to meet me and bring me her house keys...but not picking her off and bringing her home.

Obviously they are either A) Lazy, B) Don't care about Grandma or C) A combination of A & B.
You obviously have greater class then they.

LOL, dunno if I have class, I am just a stubborn ole bat...
Family member needs a ride and I can accommodate that, I just do it.
