The Koreans may be starting a war, the money markets may be in crisis, we may all lose our jobs but all of that fades into insignificance, it's the Ashes guys, first Test tonight 2330 our time, Thursday morning Oz time.

The omens are not good mind you - the Aussies have rather a good record on their home soil .

Australia lost their last 3 Tests so I'm not too worried. Though I've got no real horse in this race since neither are my teams (West Indies and India!) but it'll be nice to "watch" a game where I don't stress.
