Wow. Thanks a lot!!! Never heard of Sam Kakina (and probably his brother Jimmy Kekkina). As I understand people call him method "Outlaw Tai Chi". However it was known as Combat Tai Chi.
If you know more about I i would be interested.

Sam Kakina

Sam and Peter were my first introduction to the world of Taiji. Sam, along with his brother Jimmy, had a reputation as a fighter in Hawaii, if memory serves me correctly.

I have also trained with Ben Lo, which presents a kind of conundrum when reading about those who feel that the practice of Taiji is easy to do. It is not, as anyone attending one of Ben's classes would experience.

I do not agree with the basic premise that "Taiji needs to be corrected."

Seekers usually find what they are seeking, provided they are clear about their goals.
One cannot go to a senior center expecting to learn "combat Taiji."

Those teaching "functional Taiji" may not be very public about it, understanding that it is not for everyone.

My last Taiji teacher, Master Zhang Youngliang, , for me, made the stories of old come true.

Seems we disagree. You like the Chen stale, I don't like it. I like CMC, Ylu don't like it.
The problem is that the today world of Tai Chi is lacking of basic knowledge and because that the reputation of Tai Chi is very bad.
It’s bad because of people like I. The video you posted that can’t stand up straight, have no root, generate no power and live in fantasy land about fighting.

Is clear that you don't understand the Tai Chi principles. Show me your video if you thing you know how to do it. If you come in Europe I would be happy to touch hands with you and show you my skills.

Sorry, you seems to not have any good skills. There are many people as you finding excuses to not practice with others. You are so good until you have to prove it and then you get your *** kicked. Sorry man, but you are talking BS. I'm not arguing, you are hidding. You have the power to trash behind your keyboard, but you can't prove what you are writting.
