Sweet City Woman, but I don't recall the artist - I was quite young, but remember hearing it on the radio. Also, Its All Rock 'N' Roll To Me, by Billy Joel.

From childhood??? Oh my. I was a teen when a lot of those artists were around. Even saw Hendrix live - Concert for Peace, New Year's Eve 1969 - Madison Square Garden. Boy, do I feel old.

You saw Hendrix live!? Wow, am I jealous.....I remember trying to get my dad to take me to see the Beatles at Comiskey Park in Chicago. Not a chance in **** that was going to happen, though!

I remember so many songs from different stages of my childhood (I'm in the latter stage at the moment) that there are too many to mention. But since I'm having a slow day and thinking about music, this thread has given an idea for
a new music-topic thread.

It's a Small, Small, Small World
A Yellow Daffodil
Rubber Ducky

There's probably more, but I do remember the tunes from the piano playing by my mother, not necessarily the words...

The Unicorn song..."cats and rats and elephants but sure as you're born, the loveliest of all was the unicorn."

Rise and Shine... "the Lord said to Noah, there's gonna be a floody, floody"

The goat song..."He loved that goat, indeed he did, he loved that goat, just like a kid."

I could go on and on and on.....:) !

Kumbayah, The More We Get Together (the happier we'll be), Kookaburra (Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree), Frog Round, Are you Sleeping (Frere Jacques), Make New Friends (but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold), Come follow, Tell Me Why (the stars do shine), Taps (Day is done, gone the sun), Bingo, I can sing a rainbow, Michael Finnegan, The Bear in Tennis Shoes, Threw it out the Window, Alice the camel, Head shoulders knees and toes, Boogie Wooie, Kentucky (I'm going to Kentucky, I'm going to the fair to meet a senior with a flower in her hair). I have a ton more all the words too....from my Girl Scout leader days... TW
