I just got done with watching a tape with Ron Duncan on the koga ryu ninjutsu he claims to do.
His skills are very poor with weaponry.
The main skill I would like to point out that is very poor is his kenjutsu.
I'm not sure what he was doing with the katana but it looked as if he could injure himself if it were sharp.
His skills were very poor with unarmed as well.

There were many demos with students.
It was noting that I would call Japanese ninjutsu or ninpo taijutsu.

He also had an interview after the tape.
His knowledge on Japanese arts during this interview seemd lacking in truth.

But again these are just my opinions.

Had the distinct displeasure of meetnig the gentleman some years back, and concur with your evaluation. Have met some indies that move very BJK/TKR, and some that move with accents of BJK; still others that just move like traditional karate guys, but happen to keep a black mask tucked in their camouflage kimono's. But, at least they moved like JMA-ists. Duncan seems to be an anomaly of sorts.

Like I said before...I guess the dualists were right, and we need contrast to appreciate some things in life.
