RIP Clair Chaffin

Clair Chaffin, 83, Black Belt and Silver Star winner from WWII, Navy Corpsman who served in the Pacific island-hopping campaign alongside Marine and protecting Marines, shot dead by armed robbers on June 8th, 2009 in South Carolina. He was a former president of the 4th Marine Division Association. His alleged assailants have been captured and the DA has announced he will seek the death penalty.
