Measure out your stance in front of partner , just out of punching range , start chain punching about a quarter of normal speed .

Your partners role is to disrupt your punches by forcefully blocking and parrying them from all angles and directions , down ,across , diagonal , from above , any direction . It is important you punch slow enough for him to do this , it's not a speed exercise .

Your objective is to stay relaxed , particularly your arms and shoulders , stay mentally focused out through your elbows and arms to the centerline and just keep on punching.
Do not let what is happening to your arms affect your stance at all or the pace of your punching .

If what he is doing is affecting your body sink down and relax your shoulders even more.

Be careful with new students i had one who tried to use a lot of strength and tension and he told me that the next day he couldn't drive because his shoulders hurt so much .

It is important the Wing Chun / Wing Tsun practitioner remain relaxed so that the arms cannot be used as levers against us , it also paves the way for more advanced training where if your strikes are blocked you simply flow into another structure to trap the resistance and strike through .
