Dan Aykroyd did it before on the (original) SNL as Julia Childs. Dressing up in drag and cutting his/her finger (not severed) and basically bleeding to death right on stage.
Guess the writers of MAD-TV had to find something to emulate for "fresh material".

It reminded me of an Emo Phillips sketch except Emo was doing a woodworking project and I think it was a bandsaw that cut off his finger and he squirted blood all over the place.

The unique par being that is parodies julia childs and rachel ray LMAO...but did any of you see the real Julia Childs show where she cur he finger pretty well off??? She jst wrapped it up and did the rest of the show :idunno:
