As some know I've had a plant to start out with Gracie Barra Jiu Jitsu in Southern California. As soon as my unit gets some time off in a few days I plan to coordinate a introductory lesson at Gracie Barra in San Diego. Does anyone know what introductory lessons entail typically?

I've personally never trained at a Gracie Barra school myself but most likely an intro to the basics concerning the positions. Guard, side control and mount is what they'll cover.
They'll probably teach a basic escape or two and guard pass after taking you through the essential points of the positions themselves.

Feel free to keep us posted on how it goes.

You'll find that BJJ is an extremely addictive and fun combat sport that helps you evolve and grow both as a person and martial artist.

Good luck!

Thanks man. I will do so. I've done some Army combatives which are largely based on jiu jitsu so I've got passing familiarities with the guard and passing it and everything else.
