I say that kind of seriously, I can jump pretty well thanks to playing basketball for years. Not sure whether it has an adverse effect on your training and jumping kicks though- I'll leave that to people that understand biomechanics!
Do some squats. Do them like a powerlifter, not focusing on mass but explosiveness. Once you are able to squat 2 1/2 times your weight, you can move on to advanced plyometrics.
