Some context for those who don't know them ...
Garbriel Varga is a 6x World Kickboxing champion. Jeff Chan is a pro MMA fighter and YouTuber.
Some things I found interesting: Varga's unusual approach to training. Since he started his fight career he has mostly been self-coached, relying more on his own study of other fighters than on regular instruction or coaching from other people. He doesn't spar much except for the few weeks leading up to a fight. He doesn't like hitting other people, except in the ring. He just turned 40 and he's in incredible shape. I thought Chan was pretty darn fit, but Varga puts him to shame.
Their sparring was fun to watch. Chan is very skilled and technical. I've watched him spar a lot of high level fighters. But you can see the difference between someone who is just very good vs someone who is a multiple-time world champion.
I also like both of them personality-wise. I think they set good examples for other martial artists in terms of their respect, humility, work ethic, and their love of their craft.
