was it a tv program that did an episode about BBT, or a one off sort of show?

It was a Japanese English Program on TV and it was a good one.

What I like best about this clip is the positive outlook portrayed by this Japanese TV program of the Bujinkan and Hatsumi Sensei. With interview's of FBI officers and military personel and people taking the godan test. It is a very nice clip!

I really enjoyed that, Brian - another sign of how well you and others here have worked to overcome my ingrained disdain and prejudice about 'ninjers'.

That clip did an excellent job of showing the art in a serious light (other than a little 'Hollywood' chicanery at the beginning).
