I think I'm going to wish this was called something else.

Aw thanks mate! I used to get that sung whenever I got up to go to the loo or the bar when I lived in the mess. :)

I wondered why someone was calling you out...

Irene," from the Greek, means "peace."

Or, "Irene," an epic tragedy by Samuel Johnson.

Or "Irene, South Africa," site of the Burgher Concentration camps.

Or, "Irene Ryan," Jethro's Granny.

Or, "Irene," the punchline to a really bad one-legged Japanese geisha joke.

:lfao:

and, of course, our own Tez, should she want you to call her that, anyway....:lfao:

Or she'll give 'punchline' a completely new meaning ^_^

But in all seriousness. I would have appreciated a warning that I was clicking on a Beck link...now I have to disinfect my computer....

Few people however pronounce it properly, it should actually be said with the e being pronunced at the end ie Irene, it gets shortend to Ireen, I get more annoyed though at being called Eileen!

Eh, my name is so odd that hardly anybody gets right. Call me whatever you want, just don't call me late fore dinner.
