1982 First Filipino Martial Art offered as a credit course in US Colleges. Northwestern Michigan College. Previously 2 courses were held FMA style in the US but were extended education, not for credit.

1910 – The Labangon Fencing club is organized in Cebu.
1910 – The Paete Arnis Club is revived.
1920’s – Cipriano Geronimo forms Sikaran.
1920 – 1929 Ramiro A. Estalilla teaches Riganon Estalilla Kabaron at the Minneapolis Athletic Club, Minneapolis Minnesota.
1928 - Professor Florendo Visitation (Profeesor Vee), moves to Stockton, California where he continued studying Filipino martial arts from available sources.
1932 – Lapu Lapu Vinas Arnis founded by Jose Vinas
1933- Floro Villabrille stows away on a ship to Oahu, Hawaii, later settling in Kauai, Hawaii
1937 – Benjamin Luna Lema, forms Lightning Arnis club, teaching Lightning Scientific Arnis.
1951 – Escrido is formed byCiriaco Canete
1952 – The Balintawak Club is formed by Anciong Bacon.
1955 - Moro-Moro Orabes Heneral founded by Alejandro Abrian
1957 - “Mga Karunungan sa Larung Arnis” is published by Placido Yambao.
1958 – 1961 – Dan Inosanto begins training in Filipino Martial Arts.
1959 - Grand Master Baltazar “Bo” Sayoc, first comes to the United States
1960 – Romeo Mamar establishes the art of Tapado.
1960’s – Black Eagle Arnis Escrima is founded by Carlos Navarro
1964 - Grand Master Ben Largusa demonstrates the Kali at the 1964 Ed Parker International Karate Championships held in Long Beach, California.
1966 - Angel Cabales of Stockton, California opens the first commercial school to teach Filipino martial arts to non-Filipinos.
1968 – Bahala na Club is formed by Leo Giron. Dan Inosanto and Richard Bustillo begin training with Master Giron.
1968 - Bakbakan International is founded in Manila.
1969 – Sam Tendencia immigrates to the United States.
1970 – Dan Inosanto, Richard Bustillo, Jerry Poteet, Ted Lucay Lucay graduate from Master Giron.
1972- Grand Master Sayoc opens a karate school in New York City. Arnis de Mano, is taught in the private section of the school.
1972 - Grand Master Leo Tortal Gaje brings Pekiti-Tirsia Arnis(Kali) to the United States. Also, that year Master Gaje forms the Arnis America Organization in New York City.
1972 – Napolean Fernidez, forms Yaw Yan.
1972 – Grandmaster Felipe “Garimot” Baet introduces Harimaw Buno to the Paete, Laguna Baranggy Police Force.
1972 – Felimon Carburnay, opens the Lapunti Self Defense Club, teaching Lapunti Arnis de Abanico.
1973 – Mat Marinas immigrates to the United States.
1973 – Tobosa system of Kali, Escrima opens its doors.
1974 – Professor Remy Presas publishes Modern Arnis in Manila, Philippines.
1975 – Herminio Binas immigrates to the United States. (Binas Dyanamic Arnis)
1975 – National Arnis Federation of the Philippines (NARAPHIL) is organized by General Fabian Ver.
1975 - Cebu Escrima Association (CEA) is formed through the efforts of Diony Cañete
1975 – Tony Diego begins training with Antonio Illustisimo.
1976 – Ramiro Estalilla jr. immigrates to the United States. (Rigonan Estalilla Kabaroan)
1976 - 1st National Eskrima Festival is held in Cebu City.
1977 - Fifty-seven-year-old Cacoy Canete of Cebu City takes first place in stick fighting during the PhilippinesÂ’ first national eskrima tournament. Canete repeated the feat two years later, without getting hit by anyone either time.
1977 – Dan Inosanto publishes “ The Filipino Martial Arts.”
1979 - The Villasin Balintawak Eskrima Association is opened in Victoria British Columbia, Canada.
1979 - The 1st National Arnis Championship is held in the Philippines.
1979 - The West Coast Eskrima Society was founded by Suro Inay (Inayan Escrima), in Los Gatos, California in the hopes of preserving, propagating and promoting the Filipino Martial Arts.
1980’s – Atienza Kali coalesces
1983 – Mat Marinas, forms Pananadata.
1986 – Remy Presas publishes,”Modern Arnis, Filipino Art of Stick Fighting.”
1986- Gat Puno Abon accepted an opportunity to relocate to the United States. In 1989, he established the Philippine Martial Arts, Garimot system U.S.A. International
1988 - First USA National Eskrima Kali Arnis Championships is held in San Jose, California, in October of that year.
1988 – Dog Brothers Martial Arts begin to be founded
1989 - First Eastern USA Eskrima Kali Arnis Championship is held in Jersey City, New Jersey in May of that year.
1989 – Edgar Sulite (Founder of Lameco Escrima) comes to the United States.
1989 – The WEKAF ,World Escrima/Kali/Arnis Federation, is founded at the 1st World Championships in Cebu.
1991 – Sayoc Kali becomes “All blade All the time.”
1991 – Master Toboada (Balintawak Arnis) comes to the United States
1991 – Angel Cabales is named “Weapon Expert of the Year by Black Belt Magazine.”
1992 – International Blade Fighters Guild founded by Tom Sotis.
1995 – Remy Presas is named “Weapon Expert of the Year by Black Belt Magazine.”
1996 - Dan Inosanto is named “Man of the Year by Black Belt Magazine.”
1997 – Mark Wiley Publishes “Filipino Martial Culture.”
1997 – Rapido Realismo Martial Arts is founded by Henry Espera
