I know Kenpo has a stick system, but where did this come from? Does anyone have any knowledge if it came from a Filipino system(s). It looks somewhat similar. Coming from Hawaii (that is where it started isnt it?) I am sure it has many influences from different places. Sorry for my lack of knowledge in kenpo, I love all martial arts, consider this my first attempt at learninga little about it.

Thanks

Andy

A lot of the stuff is similar, if you look at the footwork, and
principles behind it. There's kenpo stick work that I'm not
familiar with, but under Huk's lineage we learn Kali (informally
at my school, not sure about others) in addition to our kenpo
studies.

I agree, there does seem to be a similar look to some applications. Was Mr.Inosanto able to contribute to the system along this avenue?

I believe Mr. Parker did some work with Adriano Emperado, the founder of Kajukenbo. Emperado is a Filipino stylist as well. I believe Doce Pares Escrima. If This is correct, it may explain some of the similarities.
