I'm starting Muay Thai on Tuesday, and since it's my first fighting sport that involves kicks, I'm wondering if I might have some trouble.

I ask this because my dominant hand is right, while my dominant leg is left. And I'm not a bit ambidextrous.

Will this be a problem?

Nope. You're coaches will work with you. Everybody has some kicks that're better from one leg or the other...

This is the same as asking if there will be a problem with learning how to drive.

No, there won't be. Your hands will be on the steering wheel and foot on the pedals all the same.

It's best if you can fight from both left and right stance ( orthodox and southpaw) and be able to kick and punch equally from both sides. You don't have to but it's very useful if you can, saves you taking kicks on one leg all the time if you can switch stances, it also puts off an opponent that can only fight one stance.
