But prior to fleeing, Karlsen reportedly was knocked to the floor inside the home by the resident's nephew.
A neighbor with information told The Acorn that the homeowner and his nephew were having dinner when Karlsen slipped inside the house through an open garage door. A scuffle ensued and the nephew, who was only about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 140 pounds, used martial arts to subdue the much larger intruder, said to be over 6 feet and 200 pounds.
Although held briefly in a choke hold, Karlsen managed to escape and run away. He soon was apprehended by deputies.

The burglar did get caught, however. Kudos to the unknown martial artist; 140 pounds against 200 is a great job.

He's definitely not a feather merchant!
