Nice... kind of neat looking. Figures though...we find something cool and we immediately kill it (or let it die, depending on how you look at it I guess).

Ya well... considering that it's native habitat is -600 meters under the ocean... the lack of pressure would eventually kill the animal anyway... They're lucky that they had brought it back up alive in the first place...

Hmm, wonder how much they charged for it's sushi?

That's pretty cool. I think it was already sick and that's why it was spotted in shallower waters than it's habitat.

This came up in a fishing forum I visit.
It was already drasticly ill when it was filmed and had been carried to the surface by currents. The poor thing was better off dead to be honest. It looked really badly ill. What an amazing discovery. It sort of makes you reconsider the possibility of there being a "Nessie" species in Losh Ness living in some under water cave like that ill little shark...

Fascinating. That is one primitive looking, not to mention fugly, shark. Darned shame that it was sick and dying.
