Hmm, reading the article in full, I'm suddenly struck by it's 'messianic' tone. It dutifully notes the legal requirements and then flagrantly throws those aside to get to a "be very afraid" message. That creates something of a credibility 'gap' for me.

Lots of bias, probably to get people's attention. The interspecies thing is a staple topic. Mike Adams aka The Health Ranger is a freelance writer and author who makes media appearance, mostly radio. Lots of things on his website are controversial and not main stream. I guess we can't fear the Brits as the new Island of Dr. Moreau quite yet, the last Potter movie just came out.
