How well do you handle stress?

The pictures attached are used to test the level of stress a person can handle.

One teacher said, "I felt like they were all moving...but slowly. Kinda like, they were breathing."

The slower the pictures move, the better your ability of handling stress.

Alleged criminals that were tested see them spinning around madly;
however, senior citizens and kids see them standing still.

None of these images is animated --- each is perfectly still.

They move real slow for me. They almost stop but I haven't tried making them stop. Now I'll have to try...

If you see two dolphins in this picture, you're doing fine, but if you see anything else, you are badly stressed and need to go home immediately

They moved pretty slow for me if I tried to look at both at once, but if I focus on one, it stops. :)

Somehow I doubt the scientific validity of comparing stress coping with optical illusions (p.s. if they werent moving your monitor probably needs color calibration, or you have color blindness issues). But they were neat illusions.

Actually these moved "better" in the email I got them in because they were bigger images and you could only look at one at a time. But I thought it was pretty cool. :)

I'm doing just fine; they looked like two dolphins to me. Is there some sort of illusion in the picture that I'm not getting?:idunno:

It just means that you're not stressed. I've heard rumors that stressed people see a cow in there ;)

OpArt! It was really big in the early 1970's. I think it reminded the flower children of the 1960's of the good old days of free love, marijuana and LSD. (humour) :lol:

Now that you mention it, the one on the left, if it weren't grey, does look a small bit like a cow's tail. The one on the right, however, is pure dolphin.:CTF:

Only problem is, 'fast' or 'slow' apparent motion of the images is relative. Something I see as waving about madly could be painfully slow to someone else.

However, the images are cool, and there are several sites dedicated to optical illusions like this.

I find if I just stare and sort of unfocus, I can get the illusion to stop.

I cab do that for the one on the right, but it's much harder for the one on the left.
