Bejing's "Bird's Nest" to become shopping complex

From the cultural side...China is unable to maintain its "Bird's Nest" Olympic Statdium. It will be renovated in to a shopping and entertainment complex.

i have checked it with my friends in beijing.

They don't exactly build shopping malls as we here in the west know them in Beijing.

The average shopping mall, or what Beijing is calling a mall is what we would call one humongous store the size of a city block and 7 to 10 stories high that has a full size grocery store with bakery in the basement and then goes floor by floor with different groups of things and is topped off by a rather vast area with multiple restaurants (with good food).

I will have to see if my in-laws know anything about this. The story sometimes changed tremendously by the time it reaches us and the same goes for news from the US to China.
