After the atrocity in Norway, it has taken all too brief a time for the political elements who hold the more extreme views on religion and immigration to begin to make their statements:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-14315108

This quote in particular struck me as it's something I actually agree with but the source could hardly be more reprehensible:

Meanwhile, the leader of the English Defence League (EDL), Stephen Lennon, said the mass killing in Norway was a wake-up call.
"What happened in Oslo shows how desperate some people are becoming in Europe," said Mr Lennon, who was convicted earlier this week of leading a brawl involving 100 football fans.
"It's a ticking time bomb. If they don't give that frustration and anger a platform as such and a voice - and a way of getting emotion out in a democratic way - it will create monsters like this lunatic."

Are people really that frustrated? The UK has had immigrants for centuries, we notice the people who are of different colour or religion but do you know how many white South Africans and Zimbaweans are moving in? Do you remember when the Asians in African countries were kicked out and settled here, they had to be put in refugee camps as they had nothing, they are all settled and are model productive citizens now.
A lot of anger is stirred up by politicans, it's always a good bet to get people going and it's always a good vote catcher to say you will do something about the immigrants who are 'taking our jobs', it's what the Nazis did, blame the Jews for the lack of jobs, money etc, we blame 'the immigrants'. We don't blame succesive governments for their appalling handling of the economy, no we blame the immigrants for taking our jobs for being on benefits. I've many contacts in Europe who are engaged in anti fascist investigations and campaigns and the truth is that some people are angry with non white non Christians settling in 'their' countries but most aren't that frustrated and aren't that angry.
We hear that people in certain English towns are angry about immigrants but the BNP haven't gained seats in these places which is what you'd expect, the people are voting the same way they always have. We have disturbances but like the so called drugs riots in Bradford these aren't actually about immigrants. We have MMA friends who live in Bradford and surrounding areas, they state that the riots there were about drugs gangs fighting it out. They have their ears close to the ground with them living in the council estates, being doormen (two fighters are police officers in Bradford, one is from a Pakistani background) etc so I take their word for it. Now instead of getting angry with 'immigrants' we could direct that anger towards drugs gangs ( the real reason there are no-go areas in these cities, the police don't like to admit that though and these gangs aren't immigrants as such they are third and fourth generation who see an easy way to make money, there's as many 'British' drug gangs though) the organised people trafficking ( mostly girls from Eastern European countries brought in for working in brothels) perhaps we could clean up these cities, oh and elect a government who can do something with the economy!

As far as your post goes Sukerkin, I like to wait to see what actually happened...and then pile on. I think it is more fair that way.

I had heard that it was French youths rioting, burning cars and wounding police officers. It was alleged that the french youths were also french muslim youths, but that was somewhat overlooked.

The French have a few hobbies in common, one is having and being lovers, the others are avoiding paying tax and rioting.

The farmers do it, the students of course, the teachers, the civil servants, well just about everyone. The other habit the French have is to be extremely rascist. The Right does very well in France, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Marie_Le_Pen. France also had several North African colonies they managed to treat very badly. this led to a very bloody war http://www.onwar.com/aced/data/alpha/algeria1954.htm. Many Algerians emigrated to France as they were French citizens ot immigrants as such, they faced the most horrendous rascism. I know, I've spent a fair bit of time in France and have seen it for my self, on a couple of occasions I have actually been on the receiving end.

The French Riot police who patrol the street with the 'normal' police are know for their brutality. I've seen a lad beaten up by them in a street off the harbour at St. Tropez, he was doing nothing other than walk down the street but he was black.

The lastest 'riots' in France were triggered by the death of two boys however not all Muslims fought.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/4407688.stm

"In the nearby area of Clichy-sous-Bois, several Muslim groups intervened and helped to calm the trouble, the BBC's Alasdair Sandford in Paris reports. "

The rioters weren't all Muslims, there are several groups of people who are very disadvantaged and joined in, there were also the criminal elements who joined in for the joy of vandalising as much as possible.

One need to understand France and what is going on there before trying to judge, but of course if you've got an agenda to push you aren't going to and that is as bad as the French rascism which believe me can be pretty vile.

You have to bear in mind the Muslims in France aren't immigrants as such but French citizens from French colonies, they 'belonged' to France but are treated like dirt there. They did pick up some French habits, rioting is one of them.
