Lying SOB and Total Whackjob Pedophile, John Mark Karr is confirmed to have lied about involvement in the JonBenet Murder:

KARR

"Also, Karr was about to start a teaching job in Thailand, and in his correspondence began to describe an interest in several girls "in much the same terms that he had described his interest in JonBenet," Lacy said in court papers.
In a July 19 e-mail, Karr described feeling excited to have two 5-year-olds "flashing their hot little bellybuttons at me" and later how a "naked little foot felt so sexy in my hand." Authorities confirmed he was involved with at least one of the girls, Lacy said."

I say the fault lies with the public. If I am ever arrested I plan to admit to the Lindberg thing, Chandra Levie, and any other high profile case. The public seems to eat it up.

The media doesn't help any either, sensationizing all of it.

No surprise to me that he's not being charged, I never thought he did it in the first place, just thought he was a whack job....

He just used the JonBenet case to get out of Thailand and not be prosecuted in that country.
Yep. We need to return his lying *** to where we found him.

Actually I think he has several outstanding warrents in the US for having child porno so I think he will still be prosecuted for something at least

Sorry but my personal pet peve is when people blame the media for ... anything. The media only a reflection of "us" and what "we" want to see.

Don't they cane people in Thailand? May be more suitable punishment than the U.S. prison system.

If the Thai system were so effective people wouldn't travel there to have sex with children.

We all need to take a deep breath, and step back for a second.

Yes, what he did was despicable. To grant false peace to a number of people, only to have it taken away, makes things worse.

His previous history is indeed mottled with many a heinous crime.

Sure, I'd love to see him be punished in Thailand, in an appropriate manner, but seeing how he's here, we can't really deport him to Thailand, since he has not renounced his citizenship.

In the end, though, it's not going to be all fun and roses for him. Even though he is innocent of the big one, there are many other spots in his past that are going to come back and bite him in the rump. He's going to be a marked man, and have a bullseye painted on himself.

If I remember correctly, didn't California have warrants for him?

Yes, 4, I think, for misdemeanor child porn charges.

Still carries a decent prison sentence, and if there's anything that other prisoners hate, are child molestors.

-And while the American public's attention was distracted by the Karr/Jon Benet Ramsey debacle, other things were going on...anyone want to take a stab at it? While he was being arrested in Thailand, people surrounding the incident were being interviewed or something, and someone female blurted something out, and when asked who she was, she stated she was with the Homeland Security Department...so then my question to her would be why are you there? What does Homeland Security have to do with this issue? Something's obviously not right, besides the fact that Karr was bogus from the get go. I personally think this was just a distraction, something for the media to latch on to and report, while ignoring other things that should've been reported. Would the gov't do something like this? Maybe. Conspiracy aside, I just want to point out how easily distracted we are with media stories that really mean nothing, especially to our own lives.

Throw the book at him. They will prosecute him for something and he will do time. He will get his in jail. Inmates have a justice system all their own.

He won't be in regular population. Set those hopes aside.
