Seems we are on the other side of extremes these days.
The 70s were a different time, you could still smoke and ride bikes and motor cycles without helmet...when you got hurt you vowed to watch out more next time.
We have come to depend on not getting laid up, we blame other people for our mistakes. So we have to prevent other people from making any (to cover our behinds)
Good, bad or ugly....we are not inclined to get beat up for fun anymore.
We understand how injuries effect the body. And that it can be very well a longterm deal, too.
There are a bunch of bad trainers and practitioners out there. But they would have been bad in the 70s as well.
I think we can train smarter now than we could before. We have abetter understanding what the body can and cannot do.
We can pack more into less time without sacrificing anything, still leaving everything on the mat.
