..."Never forget your cup.":btg:

or..."Keep your hands <wince>... that's goin' ta leave a mark."

Saw this topic on another forum thread, I felt it would be great to see it in TKD (sorry if it was done before).

It's better to be a moving target than just ....a target. TW

hmm...

"You've got 40 pushups"....just kidding....

i'd say..."Just kicked him in the elbow? Yeah, that hurts...don't do that"

my instructor is a wise man...

"Remember De Niro in Taxi Driver? Be as mean as him. Think as if your opponent is the one thing that's preventing you from keeping your sanity."

He knows that I can pull attacks well, but this was just to get the fighting spirit going.

"Technique. Technique. Technique. If you have the skill, it will more than make up for lack of size." KT

Don't forget to have fun.
What she said. Also..."Just relax and let the natural thing happen."

Still werkin' on that one....

"Go Home"...just kidding haha. Actually i had a falling out with my TKD instructor, so that was probably the best advice he gave me. But the one thing i remember him saying to me was "no matter how small you are, your heart is big. fight with that, not your muscles" which, i dunno, the heart is a muscle so...:) anyway he said that cuz well i'm quite short. Only 5'5" at the most...oh well...

You have 40" legs...... for goodness sake use them!

i'm holding targets and such for my instructors 4th dan test on saturday...some advice he gave me was...

Uh, where are those targets going to be..below the waist? He should be pretty accurate by now for 4th. Unless he doing like a running triple kick...
Nobody wears their cup for board breaking, that not even in the vicinity, although with that last bit of news we had... TW

he's very accurate and i'd trust him enough not to wear a cup, but...better safe than sorry...and i'm not just holding for breaking...also targets for techniques and he said i may end up sparring him...
