Pe·mi·ge·was·set = "Place of crooked pines". Like "Monadnock", it is a name from the Abenaki people who originally inhabited New Hampshire.

The Pemigewasset river is very, very fast...and wide as it goes through the White Mountain National Forest.

Feedback appreciated :)

The scenery there is absolutely gorgeous! You are really capturing the majesty of it Carol. I tried taking pics of the waterfalls, rivers, and mountains when we were living down south. I could not do the scenery justice as you are doing. Well done! :asian:

Thanks so much Pam!

A couple of my friends are starting to take bets as to when I will end up *in* the Pemigewasset. I'm hoping that will be a camera angle that I .... won't be capturing anytime soon.

Great shots Carol! Very nice! :)
