I would hardly call the flying jewel, that is a dragonfly, a "Bug", Bob :lol:.

That is a really great shot too - did you de-colourise the background in post-processing or is it a side-benefit of the macro-lens?

Actually, regular lens, shot 7/6/2008 with a Nicon D50, 1/250, F11 at 200mm Probably was the kit 55-200mm lens.

Just processing the shot now though.

Background was desaturated, and multi-pass simplified while the dragonfly was marked off to keep detail sharp and in color. After I got the background where I wanted it, I sharpened the Dfly, brought up the detail level, boosted the contrast a hair and emphasized its natural coloration.
