You know, 3 weeks ago, I thought we'd be worried about hydration. Now I'm more concerned with hypothermia.
I was able to locate long-sleeve Layer 8 athletic tops from the same supplier I used before. Do you think that will help? Long sleeves? Surely that will help.

Last night's hail. That's not a stream running under our deck - that's our driveway covered in patches of hail. And now... it's snowing. I am getting more and more concerned about the mud run three and a half weeks from now. Do we need to get snow gear?

Looks like a nice and secluded place

It is. There's only one other house we can see (in the Winter) from our house. 20 undeveloped acres on one side, another 2-3 on the other side, and about 10 across the street.
You and AngryHobbit live in the same area?

Can't see the video at work. But hail sucks. Happily, fiberglass cars like the Vette don't dent like metal ones do. A big enough hail stone could break things, though.
Tennisball size.
I saw some pictures of cars with holes in them, looked like they cot shot up!
the ice bombs hitting the asphalt was what mesmerized me.....

The hail we had yesterday was not big - about pea-size maybe? But it was very sudden and heavy. It fell like rain - not just an individual bit here and there, but all at once. At some point, it actually looked like it completely replaced rain. And it accumulated. I've never seen hail accumulate before - normally, it would look scattered, with individual bits melting fairly quickly. This stuff sort of WHOOMPed down and stayed for a while.

We have the occasional bear. But we also have cable... and pizza delivery.
Where we are, I think the cable company pulled the cable up the road some and then lost steam about a mile down from our house.

We keep discussing plans for kidnapping a pizza delivery person and holding him or her until their company commits to deliver our way. They deliver to about three miles down the road from where we live - surely they can make it to us!

The bears come to eat yellow jacket nests. Very useful.

It is. No cable. No pizza delivery. An occasional bear. :)
bears don't mean nothing!
we had a bear roaming the town one over, a stone's throw from the school!
he's probably been about many times before, but that one day he was spotted - and filmed....

He probably wanted to come in and ask whether it was the Sloppy Joe day at the cafeteria. :)
