I did a spi8nning backfist on accident one time, Sabum called me out on it right away, not a legal technique...
But dang, you generate some power with that, without even trying to!

It's just not advisable to catch one with the face....

Thought it was going to be a kick. Yeah that one sucked.

You're not allowed to use spinning techniques when sparring? Or just not spinning fists?
In either case, I'm curious what the reasoning is behind this rule.

soft style of TKD, the spinning back fist was taboo, the spinning kicks were ok and encouraged.
It was kind of funny, that other gall I was sparring with turned me around all the time, no idea how she did it. On one of these revolutions I kinda didn't tuck my arm in right and it sailed out a little.
Didn't make contact, but it would have been solid!

So the question remains... why would the spinning backfist be taboo?

two whole spring days...in a row...in spring.... that is bloody amazing......

Mrs Xue has a shoulder issue
Mrs Xue is never sick and never has joint pain
Mrs Xue has intermittent, extreme shoulder pain
Mrs Xue went to urgent care
Mrs Xue is supposed to go see a Orthopedic MD ASAP
Mrs Xue is never sick and never has sever joint pain
Mrs Xue is grumpy
Mr Xue is wisely hanging out in the youngest Xue's room
Set down the dark chocolate and pink champagne in a designated spot and back away slowly.

I hope her shoulder gets better quickly. You'll eventually have to come out of that room.

Another glorious Monday, and I am here at work alone because my Office Assistant 2 colleague called out sick. She also predicted she will be out tomorrow as well. Yay me, I get to answer the phones alone! Actually I don't mind it because if I field all the calls, then that means more work for me, which means the day will go by faster!

Pink Champagne would only make things worse...as would any alcoholic beverage..... the dark chocolate however...might help,,,, now where can I find me a good
Mapo doufu recipe....

Her shoulder is getting better...slowly....but, you know, I think I can survive under this bed at least until Thursday...... or I could go the sympathy route and hope she has pity on me because I have to wear a Holter monitor until Thursday and venture out sooner

What is this "glorious Monday" thing you speak of? Which language is this?

It's the "I am in much better mental health" language...not better than you, but better than I myself used to be. So much better, in fact, that not even Monday can get me down!
I was just being silly. You have a great attitude - and that's awesome. My Monday's vary. I usually hold my breath to see who might have broken what over the weekend. :)
