Oh, why would the need?

So they didn't graze their knuckles when hit by fridges thrown out of blocks of flats on them.......so they could put out their colleagues who were on fire after being hit by Molotov cocktails, so they could block the bricks, and bits of paving thrown at them.....and a thousand other uses.:D

It's a dangerous place if you wander into parts you are not welcome in, still.

1441 military personnel were killed in the Province. 314 police officers killed and thousands injured since 1969. Kneecappings and 'punishment' shootings are still prevalent. Knuckledusters, steel toecaps etc are the very least you need to venture into parts of the country.

Year I am aware that NI was a shithole not imagined by the people above, or least from a civies point of view.
