Recall not too long ago about an elderly lady who had her purse taken from her, she ran him down, hit him, and got the purse back (and gave him a few dollars).

Well, here is another story... this time of the snatcher in the pregnant woman's house. He took off with the purse and she chased him (yes, she got her purse and money back).

Huh... that's just... odd... he just stopped running and gave her the money back, and then turned himself in.

I wonder what she said to him.... maybe she gave him a guilt trip.

...and by running down the purse snatcher, she put herself and her unborn child in severe danger.

The mugger could have easily stabbed, shot, or beat her when she caught up to him. There is nothing in that purse that could have justified her putting herself back in danger.

When the guy ran away, that put her in a safety zone. She was not in danger anymore. At that point, she could have/should have called the police and dealt with it in the manner of a woman concerned with the safety of her unborn child.

Still, if you read the article, you get the sense that there was some lower class drama going on.

But, the point of my rant still stands. In the martial arts, we are taught to do what is needed to remove ourselves from danger. Leaving a safety zone and running danger down is a very bad idea.

Man, stories like that burn me up......

Well look at Alex Gong didn't he pursue someone who hit his car. He can fight but was no match for the assailants bullet-jitsu. If your aren't protecting yourself or another person from danger who gives a toss about a wallet or car.:asian:

Sounds like a few cases here in B-more where a "thief" either wanted some money from the theft to buy a meal or wanted to be arrested to have a place to stay and a meal for the night.
