FYI, just found this out by going to the Weapons Connection website:

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!
“The time to strike is when the opportunity presents itself.”
Time is running out!
From Jan.1 to May 2, The Weapons Connection’s popular line of handcrafted weaponry
will still be available to all interested.
However, on May 2, 2011, I am going into semi retirement.
My handcrafted weaponry will only be available to those in the
“Ryukyute Weapons Preservation Society”.
I am giving everyone an opportunity to get the finest handcrafted weaponry until May 2.

I have heard people say good things about Weapons Connection weapons, so I thought I would pass this along. I have no connection with them, just an FYI and heads up if you're thinking about investing in their weapons. For me, they're a tad too pricey, but I'd love to own one of their bo or sai weapons if I were to win the lottery!

I've met Peter Carbone in person and had the opportunity to visit his home, workshop, and dojo as a guest. His wares are the best I've seen. Senior karateka in Okinawa buy from him rather then from any local craftsmen. Keep that in mind when reading this post. Right now I'm thinking of how I can scrape together enough money to make a final order...

Is Master Jay Penfil still apprenticing under GM Carbone?

No he's not. I don't think Carbone sensei is having apprentices at this time. I know that Master Penfil is making his own weapons though.
