It appears Versus will roll out its first UFC card in Colorado on Mar. 21 at the new Odeum Colorado. It's not really new. It's the Broomfield Event Center redesigned under new ownership. UFC held Ultimate Fight Night 13 in front of 6,742 back in April of 2008. The arena was recently purchased by Peak Entertainment, a joint venture of Kroenke Sports Enterprises and AEG Live. After serving as the home of the new defunct Colorado 14rers of the NBDL, the venue is being redesigned to be more concert friendly and scaled down to 3,500-6,500 seats. The arena won't re-open until late January with a soft opening for high school wrestling and then a grand opening in March.

Zuffa officials were speaking to Peak management as recent as last week to finalize the deal. The main event could be Brandon Vera against Jon Jones (pictured second from the left). Vera tweeted on Tuesday that he had a fight in Denver set for Mar. 21.

That's a busy week for the promotion with UFC 111 scheduled across the country in beautiful Newark, N.J. just six days later on Mar. 27.
